Art Director
My name is Sílvia Grau, and I’ve been designing real and fictional spaces for over 25 years.
I began my career as an interior designer, studying Interior Design and Project Management at the Escola d’Arts de Terrassa. For years, I developed projects from the initial concept to final execution, coordinating teams, budgets, and details to ensure that each space conveyed exactly what it needed to.
I also created ephemeral spaces for brands, events, exhibitions, and themed environments, always aiming to move people through light, detail, and atmosphere.
Over time, my interest in visual storytelling and scenography led me to specialize in theatrical set design and art direction for film and media. I studied at film and theatre schools in Barcelona and at Central Saint Martins in London. A turning point in my journey was the set construction course at ESCAC, where I deeply connected with the reality of the art department.
Since 2014, I’ve worked on numerous audiovisual productions—short films, commercials, feature films, and TV series—taking on different roles within the art department and collaborating with national and international directors and teams. In parallel, I’ve also led the art direction of various projects, shaping a vision that is sensitive, clear, and narrative-driven.
Today, I focus on projects as an art director and set designer, with the goal of growing into the role of Producer Designer—a profile that combines strategic thinking, conceptual vision, and creativity with rigorous execution and collaborative work.
